Trusting that God’s promises to anyone are for goodness is crucial for keeping our faith alive in times of suffering. This blog delves into why we should lean on these promises now more than ever.
The world today is filled with uncertainty and negativities. No matter how hard we try to be the best Christians we can be, our faith is sometimes tested. Hence, we end up suffering. While some days seem dark, light always awaits those who keep their faith in God alive. Author Thomas Fitzhugh Sheets delves into the Resurrection of the Promise and highlights the importance of our spiritual connection with God in his book “on that Day.” The book examines why faith is crucial and how we can please God to receive The Promise of eternal life at Christ’s return. It is a trilogy with a common theme that came together when Thomas became a witness to the faith of the First Century Church.
Thomas’s spiritual book explains how the apostle Paul emphasizes in Ephesians 4 the importance of unity in the body of Christ. He encourages teachers and preachers to work diligently towards such a goal. The book also tackles the deep meaning of faith. It states that faith involves being sure of what is hoped for and certain of what is not yet seen (Hebrews 11:1).
As God’s children, we must know that salvation is not received before the Second Coming of Christ occurs. Considering all these, how can we raise our spirits when going through something? The answer lies within our faith in God. Are you going through something dark and heavy lately? Do you feel that the world is crashing down? If so, this blog is for you. Here, we will discover why God allows us to suffer and why we must trust His Promises.

God’s Promises to Anyone: Why Must We Rely in His Word
Some days, we encounter many problems in our lives. From health problems to financial issues, we feel like giving up and thinking that our lives are not worth living. However, that is not true at all because Jesus died for every person on earth, as reflected in Romans 5:8. As long as we breathe, hope exists because God never leaves His children.
In times of disappointment, God reveals Himself to us. You might think that God left you in your darkest days, but the truth is that He is present and closer to us when we suffer. Even the greatest saints have embraced suffering. Many people don’t see the value of this and don’t understand why God allows us to experience difficulties.
God’s promises will remind you of His boundless love. A faithful individual is someone who can be relied upon and trusted. Moreover, God is the epitome of trustworthiness. The faithfulness of your Heavenly Father can help you become a more loving person. The only thing left is to have complete confidence in Him, as He will never disappoint you.
In addition, God’s most significant promise to you lies in his greatest sacrifice for you. He showed us how much he loves us by giving us His only Begotten son. Despite our lapses, He wants to save us all and welcome us in paradise.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, NIV)
Regardless of how long it may take or how impossible your problems are, God always keeps His promises. You can always connect with Him and ask Him to help and empower you through your covenant with Him. Also, God comforted people in Noah’s story so we would not be flooded again. Trust that the Lord has great purposes for each of us.
“‘I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.’ And God said, ‘This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come…'” (Genesis 9:11-12, NIV)
Encouraging Bible verses can benefit individuals who read and internalize them. God turns mourning into laughter and uses weakness to display strength. Only God can bring about greater good from suffering, as He has a purpose for the pain. Understanding what God has said in the Bible about suffering will help us endure and expect greater glory to come.
One way is to turn to God through scripture, not just when times are tough, but as often as possible. With that in mind, we invite you to spend time with the Bible prayerfully, and may you find the encouragement, strength, and hope you are looking for today.
“This is our confidence in approaching God: if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know we have what we ask of him.” (1 John 5:14-15, NIV)
No one knows what will happen, including the struggles we will face someday. But it is comforting to know that we have a God who is ready to catch us when we fall and help us get through struggling times.
